
Patricia C. Hoffman AGE: 71 • Monroe Township Patricia C. Hoffman, 71, of Monroe Township, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at her home, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born and raised in Freehold, Patricia was a longtime resident of Monroe. She was a graduate of Freehold High School and longtime member of Nativity of Our Lord Church. She had worked in the Applegarth Elementary School cafeteria, was a longtime volunteer at The Elms of Cranbury and was a charter life member serving 45 years with the Applegarth Volunteer Engine Co #1 Ladies Auxiliary. She served as the president of the Auxiliary and also held other offices. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both the Middlesex County Fireman's Association and the N.J. State Fireman's Association, where she served on their Executive Boards. She was greatly respected for her help to other Auxiliary members and felt strongly about the Ladies Auxiliary N.J. State Fireman's Association and their yearly involvement with the Sunshine Foundation. Pat enjoyed gardening, going to Atlantic City, garage sales and swimming in her pool. Daughter of the late Dorothy (Burns) Miller, Pat is also predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Francis J. Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and James Helms; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Regina Hoffman; three grandchildren, Crystal Wagner, Connor Hoffman and Sean Hoffman; her cousin, Shannon Tabler; and other special cousins. Family and friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 20 at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
